Thank you for sharing your home...we just loved it.  It is very spacious and decorated very elegantly...yet comfortable.  We ate on the downstairs lanai every night and watched for whales from the upstairs lanai every morning...we saw several frolicking just off the coast. We surprised ourselves in that we ate at the Condo almost every night as the kitchen and pool grill were so convenient, in addition to being exhausted from our day time excursions.  We also ate at Merriman's, which was great with a good kids menu too.  I used the work out facility a few times which is beautiful, but it was so nice and flat in the area that I ran by the coast and along the road several days.  The pool is very nice also and with all our beach outings...we didn't use the supplied towels, chairs, boogie boards all that much but the few times we did, we had a great time.

My family (wife and I plus two kids) vacationed at this condo with another four person family. The three bedroom/three bath layout was perfect - each couple had their own bed/bath and all the kids bunked together. Breakfast on the lanai was great: cool ocean breezes and watching the golfers tee off (we saw whales breaching from the upper lanai). The complex has a fantastic pool and sandy bottom hot tub which is a short walk away (or even shorter drive if you're as lazy as we are). The location on the island is great - not too far from the Kona airport (and Costco!) with easy access to Waimea. The volcano is a fair drive so be sure to leave early if you get that ambitious. It's also close to some great beaches (Hapuna and Mauna Kea were favorites of ours) and snorkeling. The condo itself is very modern and beautifully decorated. We definitely plan to go back.

Debbie & Jim,
Just wanted to let you know that everything was great with your unit for our
vacation.  We really appreciated the little things that you thought
of....the welcome book with great suggestions on beaches and restaurants,
etc.  The beach chairs, basketball and boogie boards were really great to
have access to as well. Being able to have the chairs
and boards for the beaches added a lot!   The whales were
unbelievable!   So overall just wanted you to know that the personal
touches you provided with your property made a big difference.
Thanks!

We just returned from 10 days at Hali’i Kai Unit 5F in Waikoloa & we had a fantastic trip! The townhome was spacious, beautifully decorated, & fully equipped with everything we needed for the perfect vacation. We enjoyed the spectacular Hali’i Kai ocean-side pool and sandy-bottom hot tub every day. We saw whales from our comfortable pool lounge chairs as well as from the work out facility right next to the pool every day. We ate a few times at the pool side restaurant/bar and were very pleased with the high quality of food and friendly service. So the townhome itself was great & the well-maintained Hali’i Kai property is an ideal launching point for activities both inside the Waikoloa Beach Resort area as well as around the Big Island. What else is there to say? The owner of unit 5F was friendly, responsive, helpful, and paid attention to the little details that help make a good vacation a great vacation! We highly recommend this townhome!

We recently returned from a wonderful week at this unit and had an amazing time! I loved how the unit was furnished--gorgeous and comfortable--and the location with the golf course and ocean views. Hali Kai is in a great location and I loved that the resort has a bar that you can order food and drinks from when at the pool. Speaking of the pool, it is so beautiful with unsurpassed views of the sunsets, an amazing number of whales (at least during whale season) and the ocean. You can't go wrong staying here--our family had plenty of room (we had 8 at the townhome) and no one was ever bored. Only a short drive to great beaches in Waikoloa and beyond, shopping and restaurants too. Great weather at this part of the island too.

We just returned from a 10 day stay here and didn't want to come home! The house itself is beautiful and comfortable with pretty decor and a spa-like atmosphere---the master bath is fantastic---and was plenty big enough for our family of four and another couple to stay in with everyone having their own bathrooms. In all honestly, we spent most of our time on the premises as they were so relaxing and inviting that they just were the vacation answer we were looking for. The poolside bar and restaurant has great food with friendly service they also provided us with local tips on secret dive and snorkel spots.  Craig the bartender mixes a mean Mai Tai (ask him for his secret specialty drink menu if you're feeling adventurous). The pool itself is great with three different levels and a lava rock waterfall in the middle. Our two year old loved the first level which is 1.5 feet deep and he was swimming by the time we left. The hot tub has a sandy bottom and was surrounded by pretty tropical landscaping. The nearby beaches were terrific as well as the shopping and restaurants within the vicinity. We can't wait to go back!

We recently spent a week at this property in the Waikoloa Beach Resort and really enjoyed it. The location is perfect on the Sunny Side of the big island. It was a great jumping off point for the day trips we took and was wonderful to come back to.  Frankly, I know our kids enjoyed staying at the pool more than anything else. However, if you want to explore there are great beaches nearby with plenty of turtles and fish to see, and of course, there is always the volcano (which our kids enjoyed second best to the pool). The townhome itself is very nice and spacious. The entire family enjoyed being able to get some down time without tripping over each other. It is located just far enough from the pool so that you aren't disturbed by any noise but with in easy walking distance. We are definitely looking forward to going back and would highly recommend it.

The week spent here with 5 friends was wonderful! The townhome was spacious enough to accommodate 6 women. The beds were very comfortable. The decor was very inviting and on the whole, the townhome was very comfortable and relaxing. I especially enjoyed the balcony for my morning coffee. The kitchen was furnished for all of our needs. Needless to say, we did not do much cooking. The resort itself has a wonderful restaurant and the employees are "great fun"! We all enjoyed the pool area. The resort is close to the Hilton and Marriott in Waikoloa. The Kings & Queens Courts were handy for groceries & Merriman's was a great restaurant in the Kings Court. I would absolutely go again to this area. It is a very restful place if that is what you are looking for on a vacation.

This was my first visit to the "big island" and Waikoloa and what a treat to be able to spend a week at this 5 star townhome. The townhome had everything a person could want to make a vacation perfect. Large rooms to sleep all of us comfortably, relaxing atmosphere with a Lanai off the dining area and master bedroom, great pool area to swim and relax. The food and service at the pool area was first class and they made us feel at home.  I want my husband to have this experience so looking forward to another visit at Hali Kai.

Fabulous place!!! Views were great and very relaxing to sit on the balcony and just veg-out!!! The pool area was absolutely beautiful and the staff at the cafe was very friendly and accommodating. The exercise room in the pool area was super with a view of the ocean.
The location is also convenient to the airport, other Waikoloa amenities and Kona locations.
All in all, an absolutely fantastic place for a vacation.

Your townhome exceeded all of our expectations.  Very well furnished - from the awesome beds to the plasma TV's. Location is excellent. The unit overlooks the golf course and has peekaboo views of the ocean. Tennis and basketball courts are right out the door and the pool/bar is a short walk away. The pool area is amazing. Our three kids (ages 2 to 10) loved the waterfall and fountain features. We loved the bar/restaurant!! The views from the pool are stunning - sunset, whales, etc. Also, the workout room has sliders that open on all sides for an unobstructed view of the ocean while you are on the treadmill, etc - an unexpected bonus. We will most definitely be returning to this unit and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!
